XL Management Services Sierra Leone Limited is looking for suitable candidate to be employed by its client an Educational Institution.

 

MANAGER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

 

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To lead, define, manage, co-ordinate and control the provision of IT support processes, practices, functions and activities within the sections of Information Technology support and Network Administration in order to achieve the Operational and University’s goals and targets.

 

Organizational Relationships

Department: Information Technology

Accountable To: Senior Manager, Information Technology

Accountable For: Senior Executives: Support And Network   Administration                

Liaises With: Internally:   All It Users, All Management Levels Externally:   Suppliers

No of Staff: 2

Financial:Preparation of Company and departmental budget Capital Expenditure within budget

Evaluates staff performance and recommends performance based rewards Disciplines staff within delegated limits

Position Requirements:

Qualifications: B.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Information Systems plus relevant professional qualification.

Experience:3 years post qualification experience in an IT environment, 2 years of which were served at a managerial level in a network environment

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Supervises the activities of the support and network sections to ensure that information is available timeously according to user department needs.
  • Provides line managers with effective computer systems /resources to facilitate planning, analysis and monitoring of the Company’s business.
  • Monitors all IT related projects to ascertain and facilitate compliance with IT standards, budget limits and according to specification.
  • Examines user requests for computer related services to ensure that they comply with the corporate strategy and make recommendations.
  • Researches and evaluates IT trends and recommends to supervisor on enhancing efficiency and total integration of systems.
  • Trains and develop IT staff to ensure a high level of performance to meet end user needs.

 

PERFORMS SUCH OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES AS MAY BE DIRECTED BY SUPERVISOR
