Research Officers

 

BBC Media Action is the international development agency of the BBC, using media and communications to improve people’s lives.  BBC Media Action in Sierra Leone is currently seeking applications for the following national staff role;

 

2 x Research Officers - 1 for a health (malaria) project, and 1 for a non-formal Girls’ Education project - to work in our Research and Learning team. We are looking for talented and experienced researchers to work on all aspects of research on these projects, from research design and planning, to fieldwork, analysis and reporting.

 

These positions will be based in Freetown, with regular travel up-country. These positions are offered with excellent terms and conditions on a BBC Media Action 12-month national contract.  BBC Media Action offers a friendly and professional team of colleagues, plus real opportunities for career development and professional growth. Please note that these roles are advertised subject to confirmation of expected donor funding.

 

The roles may involve working with groups of vulnerable children and adults. For the successful candidates, mandatory training will be provided on BBC Media Action’s safeguarding policy and staff code of conduct. A police background check may form part of the recruitment process. BBC Media Action operates a zero-tolerance policy concerning all forms of abuse and exploitation of vulnerable people.
