BBC Media Action is the international development agency of the BBC, using media and communications to improve people’s lives. BBC Media Action in Sierra Leone is currently seeking applications for the following national staff role;
Programme Manager (Girl’s Education) - to lead a project that aims to deliver a range of broadcasting activities in support of a non-formal girls’ education programme in Sierra Leone. We are looking for a talented project manager with an excellent understanding of gender dynamics in Sierra Leone and previous experience of the INGO sector. Knowledge of the media sector and/or non-formal adult education will be an advantage.
This position will be based in Freetown, with regular travel up-country. The position is offered with excellent terms and conditions on a BBC Media Action 12-month national contract. The role may involve working with groups of vulnerable children and adults. For the successful candidates, mandatory training will be provided on BBC Media Action’s safeguarding policy and staff code of conduct.
