VACANT POST: ASSISTANT SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER AT THE PLACE RESORT  At TOKEH BEACH

Nestled in 15 acres of tropical forest alongside picturesque fishing village of Tokeh lies the premier property “The Place resort” which overlooks the majestic Atlantic Ocean & the unspoiled white sandy beach which is among the most beautiful beaches in the country & West Africa. The Place resort features 50 impeccably appointed chalets with the breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean & peninsula mountains.

 

JOB TITLE:  Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager 

 

REPORTS TO:  Sales and Marketing Manager

LOCATION:  Tokeh Beach, Sierra Leone

SALARY: Excellent salary package on offer as per experience plus target related bonus 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  To assist the Sales and Marketing Manager in meeting and exceeding revenue targets through sales and marketing activities.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a resort hotel.
  • Knowledge of the Sierra Leonean market 
  • Knowledge of Regional West African markets 
  • Experience of remote resorts an advantage 
  • Sound business sense, with good numerical and analytical skills 
  • Experience and ability to negotiate at all levels 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and motivational skills 
  • Professionalism, discipline and resilience are important 
  • Self-motivation, determination and drive are essential 
  • Good knowledge of luxury products and services as well as quality food and beverages  •A team player 
  • Probably educated to degree level or equivalent 
  • Fluent English speaker, other languages will be an advantage 
  • The post holder will be required to work unsociable hours from time to time and to be flexible 
  • The post holder will be required to travel as required as part of the position’s duties

 

Key Result Areas:

Generate revenue successfully by penetrating: 

  • Corporate and consumer events business
  • Local market (Individuals with disposable income, expatriates) 
  • International market (principally ECOWAS countries, Europe & USA) to increase the occupancy of The Place through:
  • -Special offers 
  • -Cross-selling, up-selling and increasing sales to existing customers

 

Ideal candidate should have:

  • Positive corporate reputation in Sierra Leone 
  • Positive reputation in all core markets and achieve high customer satisfaction (as measured through online reviews and customer feedback forms)
